Privacy policy

This policy explains how TCT Transport Group Limited (“Carteam”, “we”) uses personal information when you use this website or book a vehicle delivery. We are the controller of your information under UK data protection law.

What we collect

• Quote details: collection and delivery postcodes and the service you choose.
• Booking details: your name, email, phone number, company (if any), collection and delivery addresses, vehicle details and any notes you give us.
• Delivery records: photos, mileage, condition notes and signatures taken at collection and delivery.
• Messages you send us through the contact form, by email or by phone.
• If you accept cookies: information about how you reached the site from our adverts (see our cookie policy).

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

• To quote, book, plan and carry out your delivery, and to contact you about it (to perform our contract with you).
• To take payment and keep accounting records (contract, and our legal obligations).
• To keep evidence of a vehicle's condition and protect against claims (our legitimate interests).
• To measure which adverts bring us customers, only if you accept advertising cookies (your consent).

Who we share it with

Only with organisations that help us provide the service, under contracts that protect your information: our website and email providers, Stripe (card payments, if you pay online), the delivery app our drivers use to record handovers, our accounting software, and Google (advertising, only with your consent). If a dealer or leasing company booked the delivery, we share delivery records with them. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are kept for six years for tax and legal reasons. Delivery photos and records are kept for up to two years after delivery in case of a claim. Quote requests that don't become bookings are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@car-team.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
